Mini Babies Part One

First in a new mini series

Lance and Faith are at home

It's mid morning on Saturday and they are having a lazy day 

"OK, she's really gone and done it now!" Lance tells Faith as he enters the kitchen.

"Done what?" she enquires looking up from her i.phone.

"Gone out and brought the new mini babies!" He informs her heading for the coffee maker.

"What not series TWO?" Now he has her full attention.

"YEP!" He looks a little stunned and shakes his head as he pores his coffee.

"But that's.... so exciting." She can feel a tingle in her toes as the excitement in her grows.

"Yeah, not quite how I would put it" Lance mumbles.

Phones pings with a message from one of their friends

"Great news there's a new adoption open day coming up for the my mini babies"

He comes up behind her, coffee cup in hand as he goes around her to sit down he looks over her shoulder as she reads the message and sighs to himself. Hearing his sigh her shoulders droop just a little and she closes her messages laying her phone face down on the counter hoping he did not see it but knowing he did.

He comes round and sits next to her at the counter looking at her... and she looks at him. 

He tries oh, he tries to hold it in but in the end his face begins to change and a grin starts to appear. Within seconds her whole demeanour changes and she realises he was just teasing her. 

So far every new batch of babies that came into the agency they had been passed over. The last time she had just become so upset he swore that would be the last time... never again he had said to himself.

 

She looks at him hope in her eyes, "Can we? Can we try just one more time? Please..."

Setting down his coffee cup he stands up moving next to her,"You know I would do anything for you, I want a baby just as much as you do."

She smiles, "So we can go to the open day?" 

"Hell, yes baby... lets get a baby!" He draws her into his arms and hugs her tight.

And if you are wondering about the kitchen it is a re-painted 'Modern Kitchen' I also separated the tops and bottoms to give them more space. Oh, and I added a plinth under them.

Neal's Dates Part Two

Reese's Date... A drive in the country    Guest Staring Godfrey my Maine Coon Cat! Then she remembers something important....   Soon Neal pulls up in his old 57 Chevy and the head out of town They pull up outside an old county inn.
